waiting for love

"You spend all your time preaching about waiting for love. Well here it is. Right in front of you, and you're going to turn your back on it. ..... I'll move on. But you are going to have to live the rest of your life knowing that you've turned your back on love. And that makes you a hypocrite. Have a nice life." - Sebastian in Cruel Intentions

My Comment: Kasi naman kasi, paano naman kasi, paano ba naman kasi malalaman kung siya na o ikaw lamang ay nag-iilusyon lang..? Hahays, kung meron lang boses galing sa taas na magsasabi in your ears, "He's the one, don't let him go.", e di mas maganda ang life..

ironic

When you are pursued by a guy you are not really interested with, you get irritated and pissed..
You want to say to his face, "Get Lost!"
He stays for a while and persevere..
He does some impressive things to emphasize his real intention and so-called "genuine" love.
The more he presses, the more you take him for granted, the more you stress that you don't like him.
Then he gives up..
He realizes that his love can never be reciprocated.
You  feel happy, at last, no one will mess up your day.

One day you've heard that he is courting someone else after getting over with you.
Voila! You feel something weird, you feel pain. :-(
IRONIC.
"When he's in, you want him out. But when he's out, you want him in."

Love Day

To everyone, in whatever state your heart is, Happy Valentine's Day.

I may not be in love romantically but I've tasted other kinds of love and I know for sure that love is the most amazing thing in this world. It's not just the most amazing one but also the most powerful and most mysterious one.
"1 Corinthians 13:13 (New International Version)
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
--Yeah, the Bible confirms it.

Here's a picture below that I've googled (I've googled the word 'heart') and have chosen it among the many because it speaks something for me.
It's like I'm that girl showing my heart and says, "Hey, whoever you are, my destiny, come into my life because I'm ready to love and be loved." (haha, sounds desperate??)

Adoring Harry Potter

*I wrote this stuff about Harry Potter last year of February. I posted this one on my blog which I eventually deleted. But I do love to share it in my new blog because I LOVE Harry Potter.*

It’s the rarest thing to achieve what Joanne Kathleen Rowling did. Of course, her fateful creation of Harry Potter has put her in a place she might not even imagine in her whole life. Her Harry Potter has been loved, admired and anticipated by the people all over the world including me. I wanted to say that JK Rowling is one kind of a genius! I already finish reading the seven books of Harry Potter and it’s a big WOW! It’s so hard to put in exact words for me to describe the great fun I experience as I read her books because it’s just tremendous. Perhaps in the future I will encounter some novels as good as Harry Potter but I will absolutely never forget it because the book has given me a distinct mark in myself that only Harry Potter can produce.

One thing that makes Harry Potter appealing to many of us is because it talks about magic. I don’t know about you but for me, I definitely love magic. The story has shown us that there is a world where magic is made possible and that’s one of the great things about the book. It shows a different perspective of the word witchcraft. Because in reality, we cannot deny the fact that we are against of its ideas and ways because though there is a question if it really exists, we are accustomed to believe that it is from the work of the devil. But in the book, witchcraft is no different from the definition of talent that we know. Indeed, in the book, it says that it is a skill that only a chosen few are given, thus, should be molded and be developed. Those people who can perform magic (who are called witch if female and wizard if male) in Harry’s world are treated to be blessed, hence, they are envied. So magic adds to the thrill of the story because our wildest imaginations are materialized there: A human who has a capacity to transform into an animal, be it a dog, a rat, a cat, a beetle, a stag and more; an invisible flying car; a flying broomstick; a moving and talking figure in a painting or picture; a potion which makes your bones grow; a potion which can transform you to a different person; a potion which forces you to tell the truth; a talking hat that can read your mind; a cloak that once worn you become invisible; a spell that can bring back a broken glass to its original form; and a lot more! It sounds so absurd but you can’t disapprove to say that it’s really entertaining. As for me, there are times that I just wish that that world is real because I want to experience those magic face to face. But then reality slapped me to the face to awaken this girl that such wish can never be born in our world. Good thing about the book is that once you read it, it’s as if you are in there and you taste those magic like for real.

Another good thing about this book is that unexpected things happen. When you think that you already know what will happen next, the author would suddenly turn the story 180 degrees and you would just tell yourself, “Gosh, I never thought about that!” It is certainly unpredictable; the outstanding twists will surely squeeze all the excitement you feel deep within. Mysteries after mysteries are always present and they make you stick until the end for you to know the story behind those. Surprises! Yeah, talk about surprises and you will be fed. Indeed, reading Harry Potter is like a ride you can’t afford to miss.

The book is rich with great lessons and realizations in life. There are so many things you can learn from it. Some lessons are not new to us but the book has given us a different clear picture which helps remind to obtain that specific virtue. One thing that I will not forget is what Professor Dumbledore said to Harry Potter, “Your choices determine who you are, far more than your abilities.” In a time such like mine when I am frustrated of who I am, I need to hear this thing. I need to know that I am best defined by the things I choose. No matter what I got from my parents, it can do nothing if I choose something different from it. We can choose to be good. We can choose to be successful. We can also choose to give up the fight. But then again, we can choose to press on until we get what we want. Now or later, we shall realize the power of the choices we make in our lives. Another lesson that I didn’t miss to notice is about doing good at any circumstances. The book shows us that the good things you do to other people will come back to you in greater measure. Yes, we really do not know that every time we do good things, we always get a reward or blessing, all I know is that Someone is looking down at us and He doesn’t forget to record things. And what I’m really sure is, doing good is still the better one to do even if we’re talking about what to do to our enemies. Harry Potter (the character) has helped his most outstanding tormenter in his life and never regretted it because things change in a desirable way. Even if Harry Potter is a mere fantasy, it reflects reality: about friendship, family, love, forgiveness, trust, courage and a lot more. One more lesson that has struck me in an amazing way is the reason why we should believe that good always wins over evil. I just understand that evil knows nothing about love and on the other hand, it is love which the good person uses as its greatest weapon. For love is the root of every virtue: hope, courage, faith, patience, perseverance, resilience, humility and mention lots of others. Rich! Yes, I can assure you that Harry Potter is rich with lessons. I only indicate few but there’s really a lot!

Harry Potter is really amazing to the extent that it saddens me to know the fact that his story ends in the seventh book. I will miss Harry Potter (may movie pa naman eh!!hehe), I mean, I am missing it already! Anyway, I had FUN! You know what guys, a book like this is worth spending our time for!

PS Thank you Jayson for lending me your ‘Arry Potter books..hehe

New Template

Finally, I've got a new template. Beautiful, right? This is much better than the previous ones. I felt so great being able to do this change. I thought I'm stuck up with those unartistic templates of blogspot. Good thing I don't content myself. It just takes a little exploration though..

Now I'm more enthutiastic on blogging because I've got a nice template.. weeew.. :-)

Wait, before I say 'Adios', let me say "Congratulations Melai!!" for acquiring the title of 'Big Winner' in PBB Double UP. Yes. Yes. You're the most deserving housemate to get that rank. After all, PBB Double Up eventually becomes your show..hehe ;-)

Adios.

fun, fun night: yesthursday

Last night was a blast! I had an amazing, great time in UP Fair. My most favorite Pinoy band had performed and it was worth the long waaaiiiittt. Haha.. I really love Parokya Ni Edgar and I was really satisfied by their performance last night. They're only suppose to sing 3 songs but they made them 7, yes SEVEN.. Wohoo! These are the songs they performed: Buloy, Para Sayo, Halaga, Picha Pie, Akala, The Yes Yes Show and Ordertaker. Fun, fun & fun. I love you Chito Miranda. I will always be your follower. There were lots of Pinoy bands performing and I am amused that I was able to see Spongecola and Silent Sanctuary performing live for the first time. I love some of their songs. I was glad that Spongecola sang 'Di Na Mababawi' and I was frustrated that Silent Sanctuary didn't sing 'Ikaw Lamang'. :-( And hey, Pedicab's vocalist is handsome and I thought to myself that this cute guy resembles a lot to Jao Mapa.. Then I've mentioned about it to my roommate and she said they're siblings (haha, great).. Anyways, I should check their songs because I think I'm gonna love them.. As usual, Kamikazee's vocalist Jay showed his power of exotic performance, it's cool though.hehe. We were there around 7:30pm and we left 2:30 in the morning because Parokya performed late, maybe 1:30 am. And I couldn't leave because my main reason why I attended that fair is to watch Parokya live and if it should take long hours to wait then I can endure it. The song that lead me to love Parokya Ni Edgar is 'Halaga'. :-) So my favorite part of his performance was when he sang 'Halaga' and had an introduction like this: "Since birthday ko naman last february 7, puwede ko bang kantahin ang pinakapaborito kong kanta? Ito na.."--haha, clap, clap, it was 'Halaga'.. So let me sing a part of it: "Sa libu-libong pagkakataon na tayo'y nagkasama iilang ulit pa lang kitang nakitang masaya. Naiinis akong isipin na ginaganyan ka niya. Hindi ba niya alam ang iyong tunay na halaga?.." Hahays, great song. After Parokya's seven songs, there's FIREWORKS... Indeed, what a grand firework display.. :-) Thank you Rona for being the best companion. Kuya, I was worried you didn't have fun but I hope I have the wrong assumption.. Sorry for being such an uncool buddy.. I lab you. ;-D

all time favorite song?

I first heard this song last 2005 when our lab instructor in Chem 16 gave us a cd containing songs which speak about his life.. So there, the song was there and at first hear I instantly love it. I don't know how many million times I've listened to it, but I tell you, it's really quite a lot. Sometimes you can't have a sensible reason why you love something, you just know that you love it because that's what you're heart is telling you. So I'm sorry if I can't give a very nice answer if why I love the song, it's just soo relaxing, calming to hear.. That's just it! I know that there are other songs that really fit to my answer but 'The First Cut Is The Deepest' by Sheryl Crow is just one of a kind. Don't get me wrong, I can't relate with the message of the song because I am/wasn't in that situation, nevertheless, I love it. It's already been five years but I still keep on playing and playing it on my MP4. Goodness!!

never bully me

It’s not my nature to be mean. A lot of people say that I’m gentle, kind and patient (so I say). Whenever I face wicked personalities, most of the time I just stay where I am, stare on the floor and keep quiet. There are so many times that I wish I could execute what my heart is telling me: show wrath. But I find myself silent as a sleeping person, kind and harmless as a puppy. It’s just who I am. And it’s me ever since I’ve got common sense. Sometimes I commend myself for showing self-control, that way I have shown respect and I save friendship and ill-judgment. But many times I find scolding myself for showing how weak and coward I am. And I hate the fact that people are already abusing you because they know you won’t get mad. Still I know that things have its limitations. A container no matter how huge it is could still be filled. When I was in high school, I had a classmate who treated me so bad. The sadder fact about it was that I didn’t even do her any wrong and I was highly sure about it. Then I realized that she did it because she felt superior over me, thus she thought she had the position to degrade me. Yet in what sense? For sure, not in terms of beauty (Please, don’t let me elaborate it). Not even in terms of intelligence, she’s not even included in the top 10 while I was the top 2 in our batch. Well, hell if she thought she’s rich because they’re not. And was I poor to be treated like that (but then again, our status in life doesn’t indicate on how we should be treated by others)? Whatever her reasons were, I never have the chance to know them. So that was her, bullying me here & there until she’s satisfied for that day and another bullying session the next day. My reaction? Simple, speechless on the outside and bitterness within. I wanted to stop her but I couldn’t find ways to do so because I am constrained by who I am. Until one day, she said something that I was poked to realize that enough is enough. This was what happened: I was buying food at our canteen and then she came around together with one of our girl classmates. Beside me, she suddenly talked to me, “Jill, tomorrow is already my birthday and Sheena (our classmate) is invited. Don’t hope that you will be invited because I will never do that.. (laughing)”, then add how she delivered the piece. Pathetic! Just then I was aware that my patience has already been filled.. And I promised to myself that the next time she’ll bully or insult me, she’ll see the side of me I rarely open. Yeah , I’m kind and patient and can really be manipulated but I’m no dumb, no martyr either. So the next time I knew, I had already been assertive to every words she’s throwing upon me. Every time she bullied and insulted me I gave it back to her and she ended up silent as a sign of defeat because she can’t counter my witty simple bullies. Then several days came that I observed that she’s not bullying or insulting me anymore, because I’m not the same person she thought I was. I know that I had been mean and that was bad. But if that’s the only way to straighten her crooked attitude then bring it on! I never had regrets instead I felt so fulfilled because I had proven that time that we can really overcome our weaknesses. We want not to tolerate those disgusting happenings in our life and we have to step out from our comfort zones to push it away. Folks, there are simple laws of life and they include no bullying and no insult to other people. I hope we could do that because we don’t want others holding grudges against us. We have to respect each one whether we are above them or below them. Respect doesn’t go with conditions, it is unconditional. It is everybody’s right. Lastly, I can guarantee you that I’m a kind person who always seeks peace. Just don’t mess up with me because I’m gonna clean it up. Thank you. (smile)
