Jayson: Naa na kay uyab Yan?
(Do you already have a boyfriend, Yan?)
Me: Wala pa gyud Son.
        (I still don't have a boyfriend, Son.)
Jayson: Ako pud wala ug si May-May pud.
              (Me too and also May-May.)
Hala Yan, gipang-sumpa man siguro ta!
(Emehged Yan, I think we were cursed!)

When close friends meet after a very long time, an update of each other's love life is never missed out. I had a dinner with one of my closest friends here in Gingoog and we talked, I mean, he talked a lot of stuff. That's just how our frienship is, he talks more and I listen more. I tell you, I never complain about that. Amazingly, most of the stuff he shared to me were the things I were inclined to listen. Yeah, we clicked and we will always click with each other. What I also like about this friend is his witty and funny comments!! He just never fails to make me laugh! He totally made me laugh as he tried to explain our loveless (romantic) lives!hehehe!

Cursed!! If someone will ask me why I don't have a boyfriend, I think it's fun to say, "IT'S BECAUSE I WAS CURSED!!!"

Oh dear, I'm wondering now if there is a way for us to break the curse. #lol

Kpop Saturday #11: INFINITE H's Special Girl

Here's a romantic and sweet music video of INFINITE's subgroup, INFINITE H. ^_^

Date Released: January 2013

Current views on Youtube: 2.7 million

INFINITE H means INFINITE Hip-hop. This subgroup has only been created this year. This is their first music video that was released. Their album was successful because their expectation was surpassed. I can't remember if it was in or, but I read that the company produced this particular number of copies and the orders were beyond what they had prepared. Since the result was good, I hope that they would  release another album in the near future.

Wazzup wazzup yow!
I just googled the English translation of what they're singing! It is about a secret love or a secret admiration. The guy wanted to confess his feelings but he just can't gather the courage to say. He ended up to be just looking at her from a distance. So yeah, it's more like a stalker song.hehe

"Glimpsing at you without anyone noticing it became my habit
And sometimes, when our eyes meet
I become an actor acting as if it was nothing"
Read more:

INFINITE H is composed of Hoya and Dongwoo, the best two dancers of the group (INFINITE). They are also the main rappers. When it comes to dancing, it's easy to tell that Hoya is a little bit better than Dongwoo. When it comes to rapping, though, Dongwoo is definitely the one who performs excellently. Okay, I confess that sometimes, Hoya's rap or his voice annoys and irritates me. Sometimes I wish  that he would just dance.

I appreciate Wolliment Entertainment, the company that manages the group, because they entrusted Hoya and Dongwoo a sub-unit. The company believed that the two could make it without Myungsoo, the most good-looking member or Sunggyu, the best vocalist. So far, INFINITE H is the only sub-unit of the group. Next year, there might be another unit. Why not, right? After all, Wolliment has lots of surprises in store for all the Inspirits around the world.

Christmas Belen

Christmas day has just passed by here in the Philippines.

Still, the season isn't over yet.

So Merry Christmas everyone!!!

I wish everyday is Christmas day because people seem to be kind and forgiving. hehehe.

I just love a lot of things about this most important occasion for all Christians around the world.

Nights look more beautiful because of those Christmas lights.

Houses are more elegant because of additional decorations.

The air is cool.

People have more money in their pockets.

There is abundance of food on the table.

The list goes on, my friend, you know that. :)

For the last two years, I spent my Christmas away from home. I'm just happy right now that I am here with my family, although not complete because my brother is in Morocco (he's a seafarer). It just feels good to be home in this particular season.

This is the first time by the way that we have a belen in the house. My sister made it! I'm so proud of her for being creative and resourceful. I am not inclined to build stuff, so creating a belen didn't come to my mind. But my sister is a doer, I'm just generally a watcher/observer.

She didn't buy anything to build our simple belen. She got skin of a wood for the roof, wall and floor. She then used stick glue to paste them. There you go, Jesus already has a shelter.

Jesus wasn't born in a classy, expensive place. Kaya 'wag kang mag-inarte jan, kasi naging mahirap din ang buhay Niya. The King was born in a manger. My sister wanted to build closer to that place that was why she used a wood's skin.

Unfortunately, we didn't find two figurines that can represent Papa Joseph and Mama Mary. That's why Jesus is alone in there.

NO WORRIES!! In the absence of His parents, there is the presence of the cherubs outside honored to be watching over Him. I just love that angel at the rightmost side. He is just so cute!!!!

I love our belen. It is simple, yet made out of love. :))

Merry Christmas once again! :)

Kindergarten ID Picture

certified Asian
I thank my mother for keeping this picture even if its area is only 1 square inch.

Two decades have already gone by since this picture was taken. Time flies so fast. I can still remember my first day of school in which I arrived late! My uncle accompanied me and I was so ashamed knowing that my classmates were already there and the teacher was already talking.

I remember a lot of things from that year of my first experience of going to school. In general, they were not good. I didn't have fun. I didn't make any friends. I was afraid of my teacher. I wasn't a bright student. Well, I started to be one. In first grading, I was second in the class but my place was deteriorating as another grading came to pass. When the recognition day arrived, I only got a Well-behaved ribbon!hahaha! My parents were not proud of me. They didn't even attend that last school activity. I had a reward, though, in finishing Kindergarten, an ice cream bought by my mother! Was I happy? Of course I was! Ice cream that time for me was more than enough. :D

Kpop Saturday #10: BEAST's Mystery

I have loved this song even before I was able to watch the video. I actually didn't know that it has an official music video. After regularly listening to the song for about a month since my discovery, I found myself typing the song on Youtube. I was expecting that I would find something that was made by their company and not just by a bored fan. And my expectation obviously wasn't put down because I found this.

Date Released: February 2012

Current views on Youtube: 7 million

I absolutely don't know what the song is all about. The one-word English title doesn't help and even the music video. I don't care about the lyrics, though, as I have always stated. The fact that the music suits my taste is enough for me to include it in my playlist. ;)

I love BEAST. I can say that they're the group that I really like next to INFINITE. Chincha! I just love many of their songs. It is just funny how much I like this group now because I despised them before.

Here are two screenshots from the mv, showing to you the members of the group. Please do guess my bias. The feature that I most like about him is his eyes.hihihi

Kpop Saturday #9: Miss A's I Don't Need A Man

Anneyong Haseyo!

Here’s one example of a video that I have liked at first view and listen. It was my friend who showed this to me. I instantly downloaded the mv so that I can play it over and over again.

This is for all the independent ladies..

(Oh wow, this one has an English subtitle!)

Date Released: October 2012

Current views on Youtube: 13.5M

I always don’t seek the meaning of a kpop song by finding its lyrics translated in English in the Internet. When I like a kpop song, I would listen to it even though I’d be forever oblivious of what the lines are saying. So yeah, I only get the hint of what this song is all about from what its video shows and the English words the lyrics’ contain.

I DON’T NEED A MAN to get what I want because I can do it on my own! ---- is the loudest message I got from the mv. If an independent woman needs a man, it’s not because she needs money but for the reason that she loves the person. A lot of females nowadays that they’re main factor in choosing a partner is the wealth a man has and they give a little consideration on how they feel about him. They are not to be discriminated, of course. Because more often than not, it is better that you let your mind win rather than your fragile heart. But the ones who deserve to be admired are those women who don’t follow the shadow of a man just to get rich. This song wants to honor them. This song sends a message to each one of them that the road they chose to travel is something to be proud of.

the singers present themselves in the video. I’m not a total feminist but I simply love what the song is talking about. My favorite part is from 2:58 to 3:10. Although I don’t understand the rap, the rapper’s facial expression, moves and voice is just so good that you think you understand what she’s saying. I have to say that of all the girl rappers I have so far encountered, I find her to be the best.

Here are the four members of Miss A:

JIA (Meng Jia):

FEI (Wang Fei Fei):

MIN (Lee Min Young):

SUZY (Bae Su Ji):

I actually have to go to Wikipedia first in order for me to give you the names of the two members. I only know Suzy and Fei. Suzy is the most popular member in the group. I first saw her in Dream High, a 2011 Korean tv series. I later on learned that she was a member of a kpop group. While I knew Fei during my discovery of this (I don’t need a man) video. I was on Youtube that time and I read on the comments of the mv. There were lots of beautiful comments about Fei, about how pretty and hot she is. I then googled her and I didn’t forget her since then. But if you were to ask me who is my favorite in this group, directly I’d say Suzy. Although she has awkward dance moves, and it is very obvious in this particular mv, I find her really, really pretty and charming. Oh how I wish I had her face!hehehe *envious*

P.S. Please don’t look forward of another Miss A music video because this is yet their only mv that I have loved.

The Most Handsome NBA Player

I've been watching a lot of NBA games recently.

I am interested to watch it because I've been rooting for this one awesome team.

And I do believe that they will be the champion next year. ;)

Yes, I have a favorite team and I have liked them since 2011!

But this post is not about that team because as the title says, it is about the most handsome NBA player.

The most handsome NBA player that will be revealed here is just from my own taste/perspective.

This is not derived from any survey done in the internet.

You must understand, though, that I have not watched all the teams play in this regular season. So I might miss someone way more good-looking than this person I'm going to show you.

I just find this guy so attractive despite his beard!

I usually don't like men with beards because I find them dirty-looking, but he is one of the few exceptions.

Gingoog City's Grahe

November 23 is the day my sister was born. That means a celebration slash pigging out. She went home on her birthday. Good thing Iligan City (where she is studying) is just a bus away from home although the travel takes around 4-5 hours. We usually just cook food at home. Well, what I mean is them because I can’t cook. But the effort and time of cooking definitely didn’t appeal to us. Plus, you have to wash the dishes. So we all agreed to just eat outside.

When it comes to delicious and affordable food in Gingoog City, the establishment that first comes to mind is the Grahe Sidewalk Grill. It is also known for its beautiful and cool ambiance. Grahe is a Cebuano term for garage.  It is not your ordinary kainan (eating place) because it is themed as a garage. When you go inside, you would notice plate numbers decorated on the walls. There are also old automobiles being displayed.

This one’s an important reminder to diners (refer to the picture below). When it comes to choosing a table, they should take into account of how many they are. One of the little problems that I observe in any food establishments is that costumers just pick a table that they find comfortable without thinking that the one they occupy are for 8 people while they are only three. When a company of 8 individuals arrive, a problem occurs because the only available table is only for four. Actually, we shouldn’t be bothered about it. That’s one of the perks of arriving first; you have a choice of where to sit. Then that’s the problem of the owner when their other costumers don’t have any place to occupy. But then come on, we should be sensitive to others.

Grahe is most popular of their barbecues. I love barbecue. I think almost everyone loves bbq that’s why they are drawing a lot of carnivores to their place. :p The entrance welcomes you with their raw meat which are yet to be grilled. There are many kinds of barbecues to choose from. You can have different parts of a chicken like legs, necks, wings and more. You can even have a chicken’s internal organs. Of course, there is also pork. You can say that barbecues are a mainstream food where you can buy in many places just like in our city. But I tell you, Grahe provides the best taste here.

You have to get a plate and put there the items you are ordering. When you’re through, you have to give it to the crew sitting nearest to the displayed raw barbecues, so that it will then be grilled. He would then give you a piece of paper which you are going to hand to the cashier located inside. At the cashier, you can order other stuff like drinks and other foods to eat. Aside from the barbecues, we ordered kinilaw, tuna sisig, 5 cups of rice, 2 bottles of Tanduay Ice and 1 lt. of Sprite. My father paid around P500. Although our foods were yet to be cooked, we waited not too long. I was just dismayed that a waiter approached and informed us that they didn’t have kinilaw anymore. It was really disappointing when you look forward for something and it doesn’t happen. It was just an utter disappointment. L But I got over it quickly. :p

We enjoyed our food. We had 2 cups of rice each. Yeah, we additionally bought 3 cups of rice. While eating, there was a LIVE band performing ala MYMP. The lady has a good voice. I remember that she sang Nina’s Someday, Perri’s A Thousand Years and Southborder(??)’s Kunin mo na ang lahat sa akin huwag lang ang aking mahal oooh ooohh. It was not a surprise that you would eat with an emo heart because of the music.hehehe. Seriously speaking, it was nice eating while listening to music, well, that kind of music which was relaxing.

After devouring, we had our camwhoring moment! Haha! This generation just thinks that there is a need of capturing every moment of our lives. Thank you to my parents who were cooperative.

Here’s the birthday girl who was checking her facebook account. Grahe also has a free wi-fi connection which you can directly connect.

That was our simple celebration to the simple lady who is very dear in our hearts. J

P.S. If you are planning to go to Grahe, please do remember that they are only open during DINNER TIME.

Kpop Saturday #2: JYJ's Get Out

Hi friends! Here I am again on a Saturday trying to convince you that kpop is good. :) It would take a lot of Saturdays before my favorite music videos will all be shared on this blog. So yes, this will go on for over a year. Well, given that I'd stick to my goal whatever emotions I'd be feeling in the future. >.<

Here is a song of one of the most talented groups in the industry.

Date Released: September 2011

Current views on Youtube: 5.6 million

The title itself gives us an idea of what the song is all about. Get Out is a short statement always spoken in an angry manner. We say "Get Out!" to a person whose presence annoys or irritates us. We also utter "Get out!" to an individual we don't want to see in our life anymore.

The video explicitly shows the bitter emotion due to the lady's unfaithfulness towards her partner. She is caught in the act of being physically intimate with another man. To a man, that kind of scene is a very shattering one especially when it comes to someone he really loves.

I didn't like this song the instant I saw the mv. It took me over a year maybe to watch it again on youtube and finally appreciate it. This happened because of Yoochun. Yoochun is one of JYJ's members who is also one of the known impressive actors in Korea. I started digging about him in the internet after I watched his very hilarious drama, Rooftop Prince. That was the moment I played the video again and saw it in a different light.

Let me present to you the three members of the group. (As you know, the images are screenshots from the video above.) JYJ by the way comes from the initials of their names, J for Jaejoong, Y for Yoochun and J for Junsu.

NAIA Terminal 3

1:20 AM

I've been sitting on the floor for over an hour already. I can't find an unoccupied seat because there are just too many people. I overheard two women talking. The younger one said that her flight was supposed to be yesterday at 10 am and it was moved later at 7 am. The older woman she was talking to was afraid that her own flight will also be delayed. I am also worried that same fate will happen to me, after all the young lady elaborated that many other flights were also delayed. The reason of the late flight, according to her, was a tower has to be fixed. I just saw a cameraman and a newscaster from TV5 and I think there is a problem in the airport worth sharing to the public. I am not hopeful anymore to be able to fly at the scheduled time. I'm sort of being accostumed to delayed flights. Third world problem it is.

You might be wondering where I'm going to. I am just starting a new chapter of my life. Yes, that fresh chapter will not be held in Quezon City. I am heading somewhere closer to home.

Kpop Saturday #1: BTOB's Thriller

If people on Instagram has this concept of Throwback Thursday (#tbt) wherein they post past pictures every Thursday, I am starting my own series here called Kpop Saturday. Simple, I’m going to share to you one Korean pop music video a week on that said day. That’s the kind of series that I’m quite confident that I could keep up to. Kpop is part of my daily routine. I know that a lot of you have a mocking eye towards it and I can’t blame you for that because I was at your shoe once. Therefore, one reasons why I start this series is I want to help you appreciate it. As what Rowling said about books:
Source: tumblr
It also applies to kpop. "Everyone can love kpop music.. Some just haven't found their favorite song yet." So yeah, that's my world-changing advocacy (#sarcasm).

Talking about the official music videos, I am only sharing the ones that I have liked. Those which I have played many times. There are hundreds or maybe thousands of kpop mv's out there but there are only few that I like.

I am starting with the one that I downloaded recently. I discovered it on Youtube.

Date Released: September 2013

Current Views on Youtube: 1.4 million

I like its beat. I am usually drawn to this kind of songs where there is a party feel. I am not impressed with their dancing skills but I definitely love their vocals. It is Ilhoon's rap that is my main favorite.

BTOB means Born To Beat. It consists of seven boy members whose ages range from 18-23. This is not the first song that I like from them, it is the third so I can already recognize them. When you encounter a group for the first time, it is a very usual reaction when you say, "they all look the same!!". But when you see them more often, it is then you realize how different they are from each other

Here are the members, in case you are curious like that. The pictures are screenshots from the video above.

He is a surprise in this video. He looks different now. He has lost some weight and I tell you, he looks better compared before.

He is undeniably the best vocalist within the group. Of course, no one can possibly disagree with that.

I can't say anything about this guy. I just don't like him that much.

He is a very charming rapper. ^_^ One of my two BTOB crushes. #kilig

Ikr, he is handsome. He is the face of the group. It is not hard to get his screenshots because he has many exposures.

Another rapper but I'm not that impressed. He has, I think, the least part.

Another crushie in this group. ^_^ His charm shows the most every time he sings his part. #chos #kilig

when you have a friend who is a fanboy

Hi there everyone, I received a wonderful present from a guy friend last Sunday. He is a chinggu (Korean word for friend) who is also into Kpop. I tell you, he is straight. We actually bash each other’s favorites but that is just a joke, maybe half meant.hehe. He likes IU, Girls' Generation and other girl idols, while I am mostly into boy groups. We met last Sunday because we went to an orgmate’s thanksgiving celebration. (By the way, the food was good. I was definitely full! Thank you JM!) The friend knows I like INFINITE the most. I was pleasantly surprised when he handed me a photo card of one of INFINITE’s members!

He got a free card while he was working as a trainee in KCC (Korean Cultural Center). He didn’t know my ultimate bias so he just picked the best looking member. There really is a universal beauty. Although the cliché, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, still stands true, there is some kind of beauty that almost everyone would agree upon. Myungsoo or more popularly known as L, is the face of the group. If you are not familiar with kpop, “face of the group” means he is the most handsome among the members.

I made my personal ranking of INFINITE’s seven members on this post. Just see how close L is to my heart.

In my imaginative kpop universe, L is my boyfriend, although I choose Dongwoo as my future husband.hehe.

With this wonderful gesture of my friend, I am reminded by a beautiful quote I encountered from Tumblr:

By the way, if you’re curious about where did my blog header come from, it is from this video. Yeah, it is a screenshot!hehehe!

practicing assertion

Last February, I went to BIR Delta (Quezon City) to get my TIN (taxpayer identification number). I was able to do it but I didn't get an ID. It was around 4 in the afternoon and a staff told me that I was late for processing a TIN identification card.

Last week, I went back to the said office after eight months to have an ID. Since I am a bum (no job) right now, I wanted to be productive. I was so disappointed when I was informed that the releasing of ID's was only during 8am-12nn. I should have known the exact time so that an effort to go there wouldn't be a waste! I came there around 3pm. I know, I should have been earlier. :|

Today, I went there again. I arrived at 11am. I was quiet confident that on this third attempt, I would finally get an ID. Do you know what response I received when I said my purpose? The sir told me this,

"Naubusan ng card. Balik ka na lang." There is no card left. Just come back again.

I was raging inside, primarily because of what I supposed to be my bad luck. In situations like this,  I always prefer to be passive. Well yes, thanks to my introversion. I can only count with my fingers the times I was being assertive or when I spoke out for myself. I would always choose to say, "Ah ok po." But I found myself saying this,

"Sir, ilang ulit na akong pabalik-balik dito..." Sir, I've come here many times.

He cut my complaint and responded,

"Pumunta ka sa counter 4. Sabihin mo na pang-apat mo ng balik dito." Go to counter 4 and tell her that you've been here 4 times.

I talked to the lady at counter 4 and she said that I should get a number and wait for that number to be called. By the way, I didn't tell her that it was my 4th time to come there since that wasn't true. I just said what I wanted to get. To make the long story short, I got an ID after 2 hours!

Wow! If I simply accepted what I was being told, I would have left empty-handed. I should always remind myself that there is nothing wrong in expressing what you think and being assertive is usually better than just acting passive.

I also claimed my PRC ID today.hehehe. I went straight to its office right after I was done with my business at the BIR. I didn't participate in the oathtaking last Saturday where they gave our identification card. I don't want to give reasons why, basta ang masaya sa ginawa ko ay nakatipid ako ng P1,200.00.haha! Yes friends, oathtaking is not compulsory.

She's the best romance novelist

Yay! This is Judith McNaught's 8th book (Someone to Watch Over Me) that I already read. For the record, this is the highest number of novels I read from the same author. She is just the best, yo! She has always taken me into a roller coaster ride with her stories. For this book, I am giving her 5 stars out of 5! I find it really amazing that there is a person out there who could write something exactly what you think a romance novel should be.

By the way, this book was given to me from my very, very good friend, Rona. It is a graduation gift. Actually, it is the only present that I received from that occasion. You don't know how much delighted I was to have this. It is just that, I wanted to read all McNaught's novels. To be given an item that you love is what makes a gift extraordinary. Thank you Rona for the effort! :D

Meg Cabot's The Boy Next Door

One of the things that I missed doing during the time that I was reviewing for my board exam was reading a novel. And now I've got the time to do that. I have around 5 novels unfinished reading. I was thrilled to continue reading another Judith McNaught's novel. But since I was delighted by the idea of reading an ebook in a tablet, I started reading one which was written by Meg Cabot. I just randomly chose it from the various ebooks saved in my laptop. My kuya (older brother) just gave me a Samsung tab and I'd like to use it as a reading instrument.

I already finished reading Meg Cabot's The Boy Next Door. At first, it was kind of boring and then it got exciting and the next thing I knew, I was already at the last page. It was my first time reading a novel written by the said author, who I think is popular because of her The Princess Diaries series. From the start up to the end, the story was conveyed by the characters' exchanged emails. It was my first time to have encountered a novel written that way. It was kind of weird at first, and then eventually I loved the idea. What I most liked about it was there were no unnecessary descriptions. Yes, there were no meticulous descriptions of a character's apartment, its dress, the office that he/she worked to, the restaurant and stuff like that. One of the things that I don't like, or I think the only thing that irritates me while reading a novel, is the unnecessary descriptions of the setting. I call it unnecessary because the story could just go really fine without them. Don't get me wrong, there are stories that need to be described in details like in the Hunger Games series. Still, a lot of novels out there which are loaded with descriptions which for me are overdoing its purpose. Sometimes, I did talk to the book in my mind like this, "Can you be straight to the point?" Oh well, I think authors do it to make their novels get more pages. :p (Sue me for being foolish). Well, that's how the novel was (The Boy Next Door), the descriptions were only given to people (characters), which of course, a very important part of any story.

I am giving it a rating of 3 stars out of 5. 3 means I have enjoyed reading it. I have figured out that this kind of novel, are intended for teenage readers. It's kind of light, well, if you compare it with McNaught's novel. I think that the young ladies would love this one. For me, it deserves a 3 and not lower than it because I like the idea of mixing romance and criminal mystery while keeping it light. I am not giving it a 4 nor 5 because it is not the kind of a novel that will make you ponder about it for hours or for days just like what The Atonement, Hunger Games, Harry Potter, The Giver and more, had done to me. It is the kind of novel that after you finished reading it, you moved on with your life. Hehe (I hope you get my point.)

Okay, I'm off on reading another book. A series sounds good this time. But wait, I think I should watch one episode of Running Man today. Wow, I love my temporary bum life. My mother is giving me one month to be a bummer. I'm actually going home this week. They urge me to go home for a while because me, passing the exam deserves a celebration. My parents are just utterly happy with the fact that their daughter is now an engineer. Okay, I'm blabbering now. It's just good to be back on blogging. :D

Life Event: Passed the Board Exam

I thought you're not coming back, Jill. If my blogsite could talk, that's what probably it would say to me. This is the longest time that I've been gone on my blog. You may ask what I was up to, I just took the board exam. Reviewing for the board exam has the capacity to clog my mind to write. I guess I was nervous that much.hehehe

But now it's over and the result came in yesterday. YES, I PASSED!!! :D I'm just so happy. A burden from my shoulder was taken away. I thank God for His faithfulness. I was actually nervous of the result because of how difficult math was. We were already warned of the toughness of the subject but it was during the exam that we truly realized the magnitude of its difficulty. It was really hard, I wanted to curse math that time. What did comfort me, though, was what the previous passers said that they might curve. And I guess they did curve because I guessed a lot of items there, unless I was very lucky which was very unlikely.

I first called my mother. And I was like screaming, "Mama, engineer na ko!!!!" And my mother was just so happy and said, "Naa na koy anak na engineer." I then called my kuya, my kuya whom I just met that very day. He had no reaction, I mean, if mama was like jumping, he was like, "there is no surpise about it." Kuya said that he expected me to pass without a doubt. When I even told him earlier that day that math was very hard, he was like, "sus, whatever ate." But I thank kuya, he believed in me from the very start.

I am also happy that the no. 1 spot comes from our school. Yay, Borly made it! He deserved it! He is really good especially in programming. There was not a single subject that we became classmates, but I heard about his great mind.hehe. And this year, we became friends because we both worked at the same office. I remember seeing him at nso the day before the deadline of the registration at the prc. Oo, kami lang ata ang wala pang birth cert that time.hahaha. I already claimed my certificate and I said that I'm already going to the prc. He said thay while waiting for his, he will play dota at the nearest shop. According to him, he had studied much already and he wanted to relax by playing that phenomenal game.

*Congrats to us, passers. It's time to party. Yeah! Yeah!

I am broke.  The money that has left to me only consists of coins of different denominations. I only have P50. I couldn't last a day with just this. I sent my mother a text message saying, "Ma, wala na koy kuwarta. :( (Ma, I already don't have money.)" I was worried to be scolded or to be asked why I suddenly don't have any money, because the truth is, I spent P500 in a day. If you'd like to know where did I use it, you'd be surprised that it was on food. Well, I just calculated it now, and it's just P312 for food. The rest of the P500 was spent for fare and some school supplies. My friends brought me to their favorite Korean restaurant along Katipunan Ave, as far as I can remember, it was Paranara. I ate omurice and that skewered-fish-something. I was really full, but then I paid P184 for that meal. Later on, we went to Mushroom burger to study. Of course, I am going to take the board exam so I have to study. I expended P128 there.

Mama called, she said that she thought I already received my salary. So that's the reason why she didn't ask if I still have money. Yes, she is  usually the first one to approach (ask) and I would just say when it will last. But this time, she didn't inquire that was why I was so hesitant to say because maybe she assumed I still have more.

You know what, I really can't imagine my life without my parents on my back. I am actually guilty because by now, I should have already been standing by my own feet but look at me, I am just so dependent to them like a kid. I am just so thankful that they’re still there to support.

Cheating pa rin yun

Klasmeyt tayo nung law.

First time kong i-share ito.

Graduation Attire

Our college recognition rites will be on April 29 (Monday). It is supposed to be on the 27th (Saturday) but due to the very limited capacity of the venue, it is moved to a larger place, then eventually to a different date because of its availability. Yeah right, almost all of the schools in my country were already done with it. I don't know about my university but it is usually held this time (April 20-something) of the year. The sunflowers are already blooming and earlier, I heard two women talking about it that by the time the graduation rites arrives, the flowers will surely wither already. You should understand that sunflowers in my campus entails graduation.

I will definitely march, yet only at the college recognition rites and not at the university commencement exercise. The difference between the two is that the previous one is participated by the graduates within the College of Engineering. While the latter is to be joined by everyone (graduates) whatever college you are from. I chose the CRR because I want a more intimate one.hehe. And I don't need to go to the UCE since marching once will be enough for me.

Last Wednesday, I went to Divisoria together with my roommate and her sister to buy a dress which will be worn at the said rites. Divisoria is the place to be when you want to purchase something cheap. We decided to go there on a weekday although that meant that I had to be absent at work for weekends would have lots of hassle given the number of people who would be going there.

It was not easy to look for an ecru or white dress. Yes, that is the required color. We don't wear toga. During graduation, we are to wear dress colored white or ecru for women and barong tagalog for men, then both gender will wear "sablay". Here is an example:
Finding a dress that you like and fits on you is hard to do. 168 Mall may have many different clothing stores but only few of them sell white or ecru and decent dresses. Also, some stores didn't have white dresses because they were already bought (according to them, the customers were also from our school). Yeah, we were a little too late. But I did manage to buy one. To tell you honestly, I wasn't really satisfied with it. I just purchased it because I thought I might not be able to find a better one and also, I was sort of being pressured by the seller.  >.< I got the dress for P480.00.
It is made in Thailand said the seller who was a Chinese old man . It is sleeveless so I have to buy a bolero since there is a memorandum from the university that they are banning the sleeveless ones. Thankfully, I found a beautiful bolero from another store. I bought it for P230.00. Not bad, right?

For me, the bolero and the dress are perfect pair. It is as if they were made to complement each other. #CHOS The time I purchased the bolero, I was already contented with my attire.
But my most favorite stuff that I bought that day was the belt! I didn't actually plan to buy one. When we were still searching for stores for dresses for my roommate, we stumbled at a store that was selling several beautiful belts. I was really attracted and I just bought one. It costed me P300.00.

I hope fashion experts will find my attire okay. All I know is that I love the belt and it looks fine for me with the dress and the bolero. Waaahh, I hope this will not be considered as overly-dressed. >.<

You know what, graduating in UP might only happen once in my lifetime. And I just wanted to look good with that one-of-a-kind experience.
