In A Relationship

It has been two months and 9 days. I actually never expected to be in a relationship this year. I never expected that I am capable of being sweet, romantically loving and open until he came. It has just been two months and my life has become happier because I receive the kind of love that I've always wanted to feel from a guy. That kind of love that runs after you. That kind of love that looks you in the eye like you are the most amazing living thing he has ever seen.

The courtship only lasted for one month. I wanted to make it longer because society said it so that it is good to make the guy wait longer, because it is one of the best measures of his true intention. But for me, it is more important how long you've been together than how long you made him wait. As long as your mind and heart have both agreed that this person might be the one, why not take a good risk of letting him become a big part of your life?

I know that I love him because the past hurts didn't matter anymore. I know that I love him because I imagine my future with him. I know that I love him because I always want us to be together, as much as possible 24/7.

I love him and I thank God that he finally came in my life.

Wax: Beauty over Pain

I had my first ever wax in my entire life. It was really painful, I almost backed out. I was bothered by my hairy legs so I decided to try to get a wax. I shouted several times because it seemed like shouting could alleviate the pain. They said that the first is the most painful so I don't have to worry for the next time. My second wax is expected to be more bearable, they said. I hope that they're right because if not, I will wax their heads.hahaha! Harsh joke! Peace! 😳

badminton just got serious

I ordered a badminton racket on Lazada.com.ph last week and after 7 days, it finally arrived!! I know that I will be playing badminton with my office mates at least once a week so I decided to purchase a racket. I chose a not-so-expensive one, worth Php700 (15.7USD), since I have no money for more expensive rackets. And besides, I'm still a beginner of this sport so I still don't have the right to make a fuss of buying a better one. When it was delivered last Wednesday, I decided to baptize it that night. I headed to the gym and played with my office mates. It was  fun although very exhausting. The next day, I had 'pamaol' (body pain).

My China made badminton racket. :p
WAIT, GRAPHITH???
As far as I know, it should be graphite. Isn't it? Geez, how could they overlook that??

Stupid selfie with the racket
I have also downloaded videos from Youtube about how to properly play the game, like the footwork and the proper grip of the racket!! haha. Yeah, badminton has just gotten serious in my life. :p

Let's play! See you at the gym! hehe

badminton

Ate Anne invited me to play badminton together with Rey and our three bosses. When she first invited me, I declined, for the second time, I went. I felt excited because after my elementary school days, I would be able to play the sport again! I was filled with nervousness though, for I might be playing like a mess! It was my first time to step on the covered court we went to. I actually didn't know that there was a building like that near our Catholic church. Anyways, I thought I wouldn't be able to play that night. I was very hesitant to stand up from the bench and step in the court because once again, I might be playing like a mess!

Time ticked and I was the only one left not being able to play. Good thing our Sir DE insisted that I play even with just a single set. He asked a pro badminton player guy to be my partner to play against Ate Anne and Rey. I told kuya who I didn't know the name to be patient with me. I already have lowered his expectation, if there was an expectation in the first place. The first time I tried to hit the shuttlecock, I missed! It was like my rocket had no net!haha! Later on, I got the hang of it and was able to go with the flow of the game. At the end, we won! Of course, it was not because me, but because my partner was good. But I think I was able to contribute something to that win.hehe!

It was so much fun!!! I wanted to buy a rocket already. Our Sir DE said that we should do it thrice a week! I am just so excited!hehe. Playing a sport is quite addicting, you know. :) I am thankful to God that we have a Sir DE who doesn't act like a boss in the office, but a true leader. And when it's outside the office, he is just like a father! :D I am also very thankful to Ate Anne who acts like an older sister! And to Rey who serves like both a younger and older brother. It is like a family. :)

My Love From Another Star

Back hug by the most handsome alien! *kilig!!!*
Thank you Cymera for making this possible! hahaha! Also, thank you to my sister who made the image upon my request, of course. :p

A tv network here in the Philippines purchased the right to broadcast the Korean series, My Love From Another Star!! This will be a hit! GMA 7 is doing the right thing. It is going to be aired this Monday (April 21), I guess after primetime.

I haven't finished watching the drama. I am still on episode 8. Even so, I know that this is going to be great. :))

Things I look forward to

1. Candy Crush

I stopped playing the game months ago when I was stuck at level 181. I was pissed off because I couldn't pass through it with several tries. I just started playing it again because I was being challenged. Right now, I am at level 191. I think that I'm going to stay at this level for a while because there are these three bombs which are difficult to eliminate! Regardless, this game has made my life more exciting! Haha! It has given me a reason to have something to look forward to. :p

2. Running Man

I love Running Man to bits! I haven't encountered a tv show that has let me laugh so loud as Running Man does! I wouldn't be tired of watching this show, given that the cast is intact and the challenges are always exciting.

3. Home
Going home from work is something I look forward to every working days!   Home is where I find the most caring person in my life. Yes, that's my mother. Home is where I take away my stress. Home is where my comfort zone is. Those are three good reasons why I love home. ^_^

4. Salary
It is also known as money. I love money. 'Nuff said. :)

5. New Places
It is a blessing for me to be able to go to places I have never been to, especially those beautiful ones. My work has given me the opportunity to explore my province. The image below shows the island of Camiguin. There is this place in Sugbongcogon where you can overlook several places like Camiguin. :)

okc for the 2014 win

One of the lessons in life that can be learned when watching basketball is this: There is no such thing as "too late" to be able to change a losing battle. Last Saturday, I witnessed one of OKC's most amazing win in NBA regular season because they became victorious even with a few time left to outnumber the oppoent's score. With only 49 seconds left during the double overtime, Toronto Raptors led by 8 points. Who would have thought that Oklahoma City Thunders could still overcome that? The game was held in Toronto, and the audience was already cheering in advance for an obvious victory. But indeed, there is no such thing as too late, as long as the buzzer doesn't sound to indicate the end of the game, you can still do something to invert a story that will be in favor to you.

what a very beautiful image. It's just so clear. :p
A lot of things happened within that 49 seconds. When the time was over, OKC already led by 1 point, which meant that they won that particular game. I couldn't remember everything that happened within that short duration of time even though that I watched the game twice that day. There were two things that I could recall, Fisher and Durant made a 3-point shot.

If you ask me right now if what team will be the champion this season, I couldn't tell. It could be Pacers or Spurs or maybe Heat again. But I hope that it would be Thunders. It would be alright if OKC will not be the number 1 team this season because they have already proven to me that they are the greatest team in NBA right now especially that period when their 2nd best player was injured and wasn't allowed to play. They are a strong and passionate team and I believe that there will be at least one season that they will become a champion. How cool it must be if that will happen this year. ^_^

House Bill 3839: Seeks to ban Koreanovelas on Primetime

A representative of a certain partylist passed a bill to the congress aiming to stop airing Koreanovelas and other foreign shows in Philippine TV networks during primetime. When we say primetime, it runs from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, a period when more people are likely to sit in front of their tv's and watch. One of the reasons why the representative is pushing the bill is to provide more work to our fellow Pinoys. The less foreign shows are to be aired on tv, the need is greater to create Pinoy teleseryes. The author of the bill is quite confident that it will become a law due to the support of other lawmakers who also are actors and actresses in the country.

What do you think about this bill?

For me, it is nonsense! Nonsense in a way that this bill will not actually benefit Filipinos! Yes, it may create jobs but to how many people, 200? Will it even approach to a thousand? What is very annoying about this one, is that Koreanovelas don't even invade primetime these days. ABS-CBN's primetime shows this month don't even include a foreign teleserye! Annaliza, Dyesebel, Ikaw Lamang and The Legal Wife are ABS-CBN's line-up in primetime which are all Pinoy! Looking at another big tv network, GMA, their shows during 6-10pm on weekdays are also Pinoy-made, they are Paraiso Ko'y Ikaw, Kambal Sirena, Carmela: Ang Pinakamagandang Babae sa Mundong Ibabaw and Rodora-X

If you write a bill, make sure that there is an alarming PROBLEM! If you write a bill, make sure that you are knowledgeable enough on the subject. In this case (bill), make sure that you are watching Pinoy tv channels during primetime so that you may realize that networks don't even broadcast foreign teleseryes. If large tv companies include Koreanovelas nowadays in PT, they even limit it to only one! Indeed, a problem does not exist. Thus, why bother the congress with this mediocre bill?

PROPOSAL

If the representative who filed this bill is serious and is really concern about providing work to Pinoys and helping them showcase their respective talents, he should have sought a TOTAL ban of foreign shows to all Pinoy tv networks. :) In that way, I could have understood him . :)

wrong grammar

Language is a crazy thing. Each one has its own rules. You have to follow them in order to look smart to everybody. I sometimes read my previous posts here and more often than not, I find wrong grammars and incorrect usage of words or phrases. I don't know but when I wrote those stuff, they seemed right to me. When I reread them, they were embarrassingly wrong!

I am no good in grammar or in the English language as a whole. I still make mistakes even if I have already read  a hella lot of English sentences. The worse thing about this is that I make some mistakes without even knowing that I committed them!

I wish there is someone who could proofread what I write. :p

March 05, 2014

I am prepared and excited to traverse the main roads of my city. I know that it would be exhausting. But I'm pretty sure that it would be fun. This is my opportunity to explore more of this place and see its deeper beauty. I still haven't been to some parts of this city and the job that I'd be doing tomorrow would be a good chance  for me to  see the splendor that I am yet to find out!!!

What I like about my job is that it gives me the opportunity to have an active life. I am a sedentary person, which means that I stay a lot at home and most of the things that I do is just becoming a potato, a couch potato. Thanks to this job, for it is going to make me fit!!

Tomorrow, we have to survey (sort of like that) at least 5-km road distance. This would be my first time to be doing this and I'm just so thrilled!

I will miss HIMYM

I'm on the last season of How I Met Your Mother. The long wait is almost over!! In season 9 (last season), Ted Mosby finally met the mother of his children!! This American tv series started when Ted left a video tape to his children telling them the story of how he met his wife. It took him 9 seasons to finally arrive to the point where the wife already existed in his story-telling! Sometimes I wished Ted could be straight to the point where he would directly start on the event where he already set his eyes for the first time to his destiny. But Ted wasn't like that! Ted was a drama king. In order for us to fully appreciate the moment he met his wife, we need to know the things that happened before that!

Ted told stories about the misadventures of his best friend, Barney. Ted shared about the awesome love story of his first-two best friends, Marshall and Lily. Ted confessed about how he was in love with his best friend, Robin, and how it wasn't meant to be. And Ted shared a lot of stuff. He loved stories and he wanted it to be in detailed.

Now that it is going to end, I will surely miss it. I will miss their humor, especially of Barney's. I will miss Ted's cheesiness. I will miss Marshall and Lily's loyalty to each other. I will miss Robin's gorgeousness. And above all, I will miss their one-of-a-kind friendship.

P.S. I can't remember what season the images above appeared. I just included it here because Marshall is showing his innocent humor. :p

What's wrong, Etude House Philippines?

Hi Etude House Philippines, thank you for taking a moment to read this post. I have a concern. Don't worry though, it is not serious which the title might entail. So last January 2, 2014, I purchased stuff for the first time from one of your branches here in Mindanao. The cashier gave me a pink membership card. She told me to activate it by registering online on your site (etudehouse.ph) using the 12-digit number located at the back of the card. I've been visiting on your site to create an account but I can't do so because until now, my card is still invalid. I would like to ask why that is happening even after seven weeks since I received it? Do I have to wait for some more months?

Kpop Saturday #19: BEAST's Take Care of My Girlfriend (Say No)

Date Released: April 2010
Current Views on Youtube: 3.6 million

There are only two colors that you would see in the entire music video--black and white. What does it mean when those two colors are used? For me, it signifies sadness and pain. Somehow, it really is, because the artists' facial expressions show unhappiness and pain.

I'd like to tell you again, that I don't understand most of the Korean songs that I've been listening to because I very much don't bother to look for its English translation. What is it for, if I already like them without knowing the meaning of the lyrics? Actually, I only learn the English translations because I'm making my Kpop Saturday posts! So I just went to Google and search its translation. I was surprised because the meaning of the song is beautiful, painfully beautiful.

"I couldn’t tell him that I still have sleepless nights because of you
Although I’d cheered my friend on and sent him off with a forced smile, oh girl!

Oh can’t you see I’m still loving you
My heart’s not yet ready to let you go"

Here's this guy who still loves his ex-girlfriend. (So yes, the title should have been Take Care of My Ex-Girlfriend.) He has a friend who likes his ex-girlfriend and wanted to court her. The friend asked his permission, asked if it was okay to court his former love. This guy said that it was okay and he didn't mind at all. But what he said is different from what he really feels. Deep inside he hopes that the girl would say no to his friend.

Now that I know the song's English translation, I like it even more. :P

Yoseob's part is my favorite! ( 0:53-1:05 )

♫ Oh can’t you see I’m still loving you
My heart’s not yet ready to let you go ♫

Wedding Song

If I'll ever get married, which I hope to happen in the not so far but not so near future, I want this song to be played while I'll be walking down the aisle on my wedding day.

"How long will I love you?
As long as stars are above you
And longer, if I may.
"

I first encountered this song from a tv show. After that, I downloaded it. It was love at first listen, really. I later discovered that this song was played in last year's romantic film, About Time. I've heard that the movie is good. I even read that if we're going to choose to watch a romantic flick, we should choose About Time. I think it's more than good, given how the makers of the film picked a beautiful song (How Long Will I Love You by Ellie Goulding). :)

I am a silly girl. I call it silly because I'm not even engaged at this moment of time, not to mention that I still don't have a boyfriend. I have read from a Christian book that women think of weddings while men think of sex in connection with love. Men, the author says, don't actually get excited about weddings, it is the women who are crazy about them. Somehow the writer is right because I haven't heard a guy planning wedding stuff long before it happens.

If I'd be lucky to meet the one, I absolutely don't want to skip wedding. Wedding is one of my dreams that should come to reality. It is through weddings that momentarily, we could say that fairy tales do come true.

tablet and ebooks

When my brother gave me a tablet, I actually didn't know what to do with it. In the first place, I didn't find it as a necessity. In terms of use, whatever it could perform, could also be done by my laptop. Although obviously, a tablet is more convenient to use than a 14-inch laptop. For the first few weeks, I used it to play android games, surf the net and read few novels. But still, I could live without it. Even if my brother would decide to take it from me, I wouldn't mind because I didn't  have a specific use for it with utmost importance.

Things change now. Now that I have read wonderful novels through it, I have found its purpose for me. Recently, it has become my ebook reader. I am just thankful that I have an ebook reader because without it, I may still wouldn't read the following novels:

1. The Kite Runner, Hosseini Khaled

2. The Little Prince, Saint-Exupery Antoine de

3. 1984,George Orwell

4. Sputnik Sweetheart, Haruki Murakami

5. Chinese Cinderella: The True Story of an Unwanted Daughter

6. Sense and Sensibility, Jane Austen

A Series of Unfortunate Events, Lemony Snicket
7. The Bad Beginning
8. The Reptile Room
9. The Wide Window
10.The Miserable Mill
11.The Austere Academy
12. The Ersatz Elevator

13. How to Talk to Anyone: 92 Little Tricks for Big Success in Relationships, Leil Lowndes

14. The Boy Next Door, Meg Cabot

It is easy to find an ebook than to find a paperback. Plus, a lot of ebooks can be downloaded for free. Yes, the 14 items I mentioned above, I read them for free. Unlike a hard copy, a book on sale could cost you Php100 and if it isn't on sale, as much as Php500!

I still like paperbacks, though. I think that my pace is faster if I'm reading on a hard copy. But I can definitely say that an ebook reader is absolutely a good alternative!!!

The other night, I fell asleep while reading the The Kite Runner. I woke up in the middle of the night after a bad dream. The light was off because at home, which I don't know why, I can't sleep if it is not dark. I didn't want to go to sleep due to that awful dream. So I just continued to read Khaled's novel. It was very convenient for me because the tablet was just at my side and I didn't have to turn on the light for me to be able to read. That moment I thought, how good it is to have a tablet.

food porn

I have a confession to make, if others are irritated when their friends on facebook or on other social networks regularly post pictures of food, I on the other hand, find it pleasurable. I don't care about their reason why they post yummy food, be it bragging or just bragging alone, I just like seeing food. I hope people will stop posting selfie especially those who are not in the beautiful-looking level. Instead, they should just show yummy and salivating food! Yeah! Stop the narcissism and be a food porn addict na lang, please?

Manang's Chicken
I miss Manang's Chicken!! The last time I ate was I think, 8 months ago. :( Dear Manang's Chicken, you should put a branch here in Mindanao, either in Butuan or Cagayan de Oro. :)

What's the name of this Korean food?
I can't remember the name of that food. After all, I didn't usually order it every time I went to Mashitta (Korean food establishment inside UP) before. I only ordered it when I brought my family there. It tasted like sotanghon. It actually looked like sotanghon.

All-time fave Korean food-- Kimchi fried rice!!
I miss Kimchi fried rice so badly!!!

pasta
Last year, Rona treated me and my sister at Mom&Tina's Bakery Cafe for her birthday. The pasta above was what I ordered.

pasta 2
That was my sister's choice! We actually didn't have enough knowledge about pasta. We just picked from the menu those that sounded delicious.

Kpop Saturday #17: B1A4's Lonely

Current views on Youtube: 2.1 million

This is a freshly released music video just last month by the group that I first liked, B1A4! This is still the only mv saved in my folder that is produced this year. I like the song. I have felt its loneliness. I can relate with their loneliness. Being lonely could be a good thing but it is mostly a sad emotion. Sad that is how the music video is. They portrayed sadness so well that I have enjoyed it. ♥

I like the vocals especially with Sandeul's voice. My favorite part is when he sang, "every day, every say blah blah blah". It is very catchy that I usually sing along with that part. I also like the video. It is not totally unique but I find it beautiful and cool. I love the fact that the color white has become the "motif". Although there is a few exposure of the group's choreography, I got excited to watch their live performance when I saw this:

red neckties =)
Isn't it cute and creative upon using neckties as a prop? :)

I looked at the English translation of the lyrics and it got me a little bit confused. There was this line that says, "I feel good by myself". I interpret as something that he is better off alone, so he is happy. But the rest of the lines of the song say the opposite. I can just assume that the, "I feel good by myself", is a sarcasm. Here is two of its many lonely lines:

It feels like no one is looking for me
It feels like your brightly shining heart is already closed (hey)

The image below reminds me of two things, F4 and Frozen. F4 because of their attire. Their clothes are like those of Jun Pyo's. They look so arrogant.hehe. The Disney film, Frozen, also reminds me of this because of the snow. Furthermore, looking at their sad disposition, they seem like going to sing Let It Go. Let the storm rage on, the cold never bothered me anyway..

Isn't It Ironic?

Goodbye to the cold weather, drizzle and heavy rain.

Hello Mr. Sun!

I'm not really a fan of the sun, it's not because I don't like a bright surrounding but due to the temperature it brings. A bright, shining sun means a hot, sweaty atmosphere. I don't like roaming around under its radiance because I hate the hot feeling and I don't want to be tanned. That's why one of the major contradictions in my life is that why I chose to become a geodetic engineer!

This is not a post to explain or I don't think there would be any post to be published here that would explain that. I just want to give a futile explanation...

That is, somehow I like ironies. It's like loving Hello Kitty but hating cats. It's like loving the character of Barney Stinson in How I Met Your Mother but hating the idea of possibly meeting someone like him. It's like hating liars but ending up lying several times in this life. It's like hating the feeling of having few hours of sleep but still sleeping late. It's like loving to stay home but wanting to live abroad. It's like loving to go to heaven but fearing to be dead.

This is my life. I don’t live with ironies but I’ve got many ironies. And I find it quiet amusing. J

Sad Truth About Some Lawyers

Not all lawyers are after justice. They want to win even though they are on the wrong side. Winning is very important to them more than anything else. They want to show the world that they are so good that together with their clients, they can escape the punishment of the law even with heavy evidence against them. I am maybe wrong but that's how I see them.

I wish I were a lawyer to understand them. I want to understand why they choose to look and say foolish things just to defend their clients. It is as if they were under some spell to be so stupid to figure out that a concrete evidence shows how big liars are the people seeking for their help. They even have the nerve to convince people that they are saying the truth!

I despise criminals, as well as lawyers who know the truth but are still defending the crimes of the inhumane deeds of some people. It is just so sad that these lawyers use their intelligence to protect the bad guys.

Typhoon Agaton in Gingoog City

Hi friends, Typhoon Agaton has fallen big amount of rain for the past few days here in our place. Yesterday in the afternoon, we saw that the road in our neighborhood has become like a stream. Water was flowing from an overflowing small lake near our house.

My sister and I got outside to check how bad it was. This kind of thing rarely happened in our place. And I hope that it will stay to be a rare thing. I have only seen twice that our street was flooded. The first time was in 2009 and the second and hopefully the last would be yesterday. Yes, when Yolanda struck in some parts of my country, Gingoog City was barely affected. But Agaton is more of a treat to us.
Here is my sister wearing boots and holding an umbrella. She was supposed to be in Iligan right now, but it was dangerous to travel when there was a torrential rain. So I'm hoping that there are no classes in all levels in Iligan so that my sister wouldn't be marked absent.

Here is a girl who seemed like enjoying the rain and the flood it brought. Sister wanted us to be drenched by the rain but I opposed by it because it was too cold.

Nothing can stop this vehicle to go to its destination. I think one household was already evacuating.

Look at our neighbors who were smilingly talking over the rain. This shows how generally happy we are as Filipinos. They also checked the condition of the street.

My father also checked it out himself.

The saddest thing about this typhoon isn't about the hassle brought by the flood but the mortality of some individuals. Yes, some lives were lost because of the typhoon due to landslide and drowning.

As I am writing this post, the rain has already stopped. And the water in our street has already gone. I hope that the typhoon is going farther away from our country.

Cold January

The photo was taken at 12:21pm in our house. Apart from the border, nothing was edited. Inside our house was dark because of the bad weather. Ever since January 1, our city (Gingoog City ) hasn't experienced yet a sunny day. It is always either gloomy or rainy. Although I love rainy days, more than two weeks absence of the largest star makes me long to see it shining. It is just that, this kind of weather paralizes you to do with many stuff. First, you don't want to go outside. Second, it is so cold that you don't want to work anything to do with water like washing.

Kpop Saturday #13: SISTAR19's Gone Not Around Any Longer

Date Released: January 2013

Current Views on Youtube: 11.2 million

I really, really love this song. I think, for last year, this was one of the top 5 Kpop songs that I played most. It is just perfect. I love the beat. I love the art of its slowness. And most especially, I praise Hyorin's voice. For me, she has the best vocals among the female singers in Korea. Her voice is one of a kind. I just can't think of someone who has the same voice as hers.

It was my sister who told me to check out their song. I said that I wouldn't because I thought that I may not like it, and besides, they were just a sexy group. My sister convinced me that the song was really good. She suggested to ignore their dance steps and just focused on the song. I eventually tried because it wouldn't hurt me to spend few minutes of my time to listen to it. Also, I got curious of it since my sister was nagging me about it. Good thing, the song was actually good and it is still good after several times of listening to it.

I don't like the sexy dance steps. For me, it is not necessary. Also, I find their seductive steps to have downgraded their song a little bit. That is just me saying, ok? I am aware, though, that this group is catering male adults' viewership so they have to create these moves to appeal to their taste. But in general, I've got praise to this beautiful song. :)

Gone Not Around Any Longer is apparently a sad song. It is about someone being left alone by the one she dearly loves which makes her miserable in every waking moments. Here is some parts of the lyrics of the song (obviously) translated to English:
Why am I foolishly
withering every day?
Like a flower that lost its light,
I have lost you
I can only say that it hurts,
it hurts, it’s sad, by myself
Again tonight, I fall asleep as I cry

My Little Bossings is Upsetting!!

I watched My Little Bossings just yesterday. The movie is the first MMFF film I ever watched in a theater. I was enticed to see it because of the very cute and smart in spite of her age, Ryzza Mae Dizon. But my gosh, it is really upsetting. I want a refund of my Php130. Although I admit that I like shallow films, the movie isn't even considered shallow, it's dry!! I'd like to enumerate the things that upset me.

1.) It was like watching commercials on tv!! Lucky Me, El Real, Julie's Bakeshop, that-Japanese-Restaurant-that-I-can't-remember-the-name, Ariel, Safeguard, Solmux, Betadine and Kettle Korn. I even haven't mentioned all the products which appeared in the movie. It was annoying. One-three products is tolerable, but what the heck, you're bombarded with several of them. Hello!!!! My goal for watching a movie is to be entertained, not to help me decide what to purchase next! I may forgive them for that too much advertising if they spent lots of millions or billions upon doing the film. Yung kasing mahal nung ginawa ang Titanic na movie. But was it that expensive? If so, hindi halata. :|

2.) Shaky cameraman. My head ached for the first few minutes of the film. The video was like captured by an amateur videographer. I wonder why they didn't change that. Maybe it was negligible when it was being viewed in a small screen. But hey, it's a theater, damang-dama namin ang pagkanerbyoso ng kumuha. Good thing, it was only for about 3-5 minutes and later on, the video was already stable. Still, my head ached for a time.

3.) It wasn't that funny. I thought I would laugh out loud more than twice. There were only two scenes that I remember myself really laughing. First, when Jose and Paolo's sleep outside a sari-sari store was interrupted. Second, when Ryzza ate wasabe and she cried because it was spicy. Some supposedly funny scenes just gave me a smile.

4.) I wanted more of Ryzza. I'd like to say it again that the main reason I ended up watching the movie because I was fascinated by Ryzza. I was disappointed that she was not exposed enough. I think, inubos ang iba pa niyang exposure ng mga pesteng produkto na yan.

5.) Silly Plot. I find a plot silly when a billionaire woman (Kris) left her son to her trusted bookkeeper because her son's life is in danger due to her half-sister's (Jaclyn) threat to kill them if Kris wouldn't admit her sister's scam. The bookkeeper (Vic) accepted the request to take care Bimby for the meantime because he will be paid Php20million. What is so silly is that it turned out that the antagonist's assistant is a police detective.  If that's the case, the problem would have been solved early on because that detective should have already gathered enough evidence to prove that the scam wasn't by Kris.

They could be so proud that their movie is the number 1 blockbuster in this recent MMFF. But how many of us who watched who were satisfied? How many of us who said that it was worth it? I don't know about you, but as for me, I regretted watching it.

As we walked out of the theater, I didn't say a thing. I didn't want my mother hear me complaining about it because I was the one who bugged her to watch it. I just kept my mouth shut. Later, my mother said, "Mas kataw-anan pa siguro ang Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy" (I think Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy is funnier.) In other words, it would have been fun if we watched Vice Ganda's film instead of My Little Bossings. Okay, my bad!

Kpop Saturday #12: B.A.P.'s Stop It

Hello everyone! Here is a happy and lively song from B.A.P.! Don't be deceived by the negative connotation of the title. It is just a happy song especially when you don't understand the lyrics. I was so much addicted with this music video within the month of my discovery. I played it over and over again and it never failed to brighten up my mood. I have known many songs of this group but this is still my most favorite.

Date Released: October 2012

Current views on Youtube: 6.2 million

I have found the video weird. I mean, I don't really understand it. It is mixed with fantasy. On the first part, I thought the man was a ghost, a ghost who was stalking the woman he had a love at first sight with. But on the last part of the video, the man seemed like a robot or an alien. He actually had a tail, a tail that the woman pressed so that he would fall asleep. If I have to get the meaning of the video, it is just this: "The woman controls the man. He is a slave or more like a toy. She is amused by the man's affection but I don't think she feels the same way too."

I searched for the English translation of the lyrics. It is a song that's asking the person he loves to stop being mad at him. Yes, it is that simple. You don't need to use your brain cells to get the message.

"Don’t get mad at me, stop it, please don’t do this
I’m getting annoyed, I’m getting mad – I love you"

The initials of the group's name means Best, Absolute and Perfect. I know what you're thinking, it's a silly identification. Unfortunately, most of the Kpop groups have those kinds of no-brainer names. But you don't have to judge them with their names because like BAP, they are talented and they provide songs that can make you appreciate music as a whole.

Here are the six members of the group:

Korean Series I Watched in 2013

I wasn't able to watch a lot of Korean series last year. It didn't appeal to me especially when I got hooked to Running Man. All I wanted to watch was Running Man and Running Man alone. In the end, I only saw five. I know, that is a very lame number.

Here are the 5 Korean series I watched in chronological order:

If I can’t read all the books published out there, then let me just read the very good ones.

I’ve been hearing a lot of beautiful feedbacks about the novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. I’ve wanted to read it for a long time already. Finally, I was able to purchase a copy at National Bookstore’s branch in Centrio Mall, Cagayan De Oro City for only Php195. Thank you to my mother who bought it for me.hehehe.

Cheers to my year of reading tons of unforgettable novels!

P.S. Please don’t take the word “tons” literally. Thank you.

Hello 2014 with a Wink

Happy new year to everyone!!!

For some reason, I have an inclination to share to you some of the things I did as the hours were approaching to January 1, 2014!

GOLDILOCKS

Cheers to the growing economy of Gingoog City. Goldilocks has just opened here in December 2013. My mother asked me to buy a cake for the New Year’s Eve celebration. I told her to forget about it because there was a crowd at the store! They were there in the morning and what they saw was a long queue. So they left and bought other stuff instead. My mother insisted and said that we should have a cake, no matter how long I should wait there! Since I was an obedient daughter, as always, I went there. I arrived there around 4pm. The store was closed but there was a queue outside. I just fell in line. I never asked anyone why the store was closed or will it ever open again for the day. I just overheard that they will open at 5pm.Their cakes were sold out and they were expecting a delivery that will arrive at 5pm. I waited there and thought that one hour was just a short time. The time arrived and they opened the doors, but the cakes didn’t arrive yet. I actually thought that the cakes were only made there. Like you know, they have their own bakers. Their products have to be delivered from Iligan City. That’s around 4-5hours, right? My gosh, “No patience, no cake” ang peg!

Complaints were heard and you can’t blame us for that. As for me, they should have prepared lots of stocks. It was not an ordinary day, people were celebrating for the New Year’s Eve and one of the sweets that we love to have on our tables are cakes! The demand was so high but the product was few. It was their loss, though.

After two hours of standing there, I was able to buy a cake. There were only three flavors available. I chose chocolate roll because the other two were flavored ube and orange.

For Php295 you can have a 16-inch chocolate roll! I measured it this morning out of curiosity with a tape measure!haha. It was 16 inches with a probable error of 0.5 inch! It tastes okay, better than a homemade cake.

I also bought butter macaroons for only Php102. It hasn't been opened until now. Bilib ako sa mga tao dito sa bahay, hindi masyadong mahilig kumain! Pramis! We still have until January 10 before it expires. I tasted macaroons before so I know that this is delicious.

TWELVE ROUND FRUITS

I was also asked to buy round fruits which my mother wasn't able to buy earlier. It has been a tradition here in the Philippines to display on the table 12 different kinds of round fruits for New Year. If you do so, prosperity will abide in the family for the entire year. This practice has been done every year in our household. I bought chico, kyat-kyat and guava. Chico was 3 for Php10. Kyat-kyat was Php70 for one small bag and one big guava for Php36.

I got back home and realized that we need one more fruit! Nobody wanted to go to the market anymore so I suggested to put tomato to complete the twelve. Of course, it is a fruit and definitely round! There is no reason that you shouldn't include it.

THUNDERSTRUCK

source

The last movie that I watched for the 2013 was Thunderstruck! I was so happy when I found out last night that my sister has a copy of this movie. I had been wanting to see it since I learned that my most favorite NBA player had a movie.

The story is shallow. It is no wonder why it's for kids. There is an exchange of talent and the lack thereof between Durant and his fan. The fan, who is a highschool student, suddenly becomes a basketball prodigy. It is definitely a great leap for a water boy who is now the most valuable player in their team. Meanwhile, Kevin Durant plays like an idiot in the NBA.

I still had a good time while watching the movie in spite of the ordinary plot. My mother was telling me to stop because she wanted to see the countdown on abs-cbn. I didn't budge (there, I was disobedient) and watched the movie until the end. :D

Happy new year once again, friends. Sana magiging awesome ang 2014 nating lahat. Yung tipong mapapanganga tayo pagdating ng Disyembre at masasambit ang mga katagang, "The best ang taong ito!"
